AAUW California has added three bills to its support list for the current legislative session.

They are:

• AB 1825, which will prevent libraries from banning books for partisan or political reasons.
• AB 1955, which will prohibit public schools from requiring employees or contractors to disclose any information on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression without student permission.
• AB 1575, which would require public higher education institutions assign advisors to students who are notified of an alleged violation of the student code of conduct.
